Construction worker dies from Asbestosis

The construction companies that Jim worked for had exposed their employees to asbestos dust and fibres throughout the 1960's and 1970's. In 2002 Jim developed asbestosis and his health deteriorated very quickly. He sadly died later that year.

One of the construction companies had gone into liquidation but the asbestos disease lawyers at Bond Pearce were able to trace the insurers and settled Jim's wife's claim for £140,000. It is common in these cases to find that companies who were trading in the 1960's and 1970's are no longer in business. However this shouldn't stop you from seeking specialist advice as in this case we were able to trace the insurers for the business and bring a claim.
