Fall at work fractures builders back
Richard was working on some staging which consisted of metal boards like scaffolding boards. They had been placed over some lengths of pipe but hadn't been fixed in place. When he stood on them they gave way and Richard fell 15 ft fracturing his back. The staging was clearly unsafe and proper harnesses were not provided. Richard was found partly to blame for the accident in that he knew that his working conditions were unsafe but the accident at work team at Bond Pearce were able to settle Richard's claim ensuring that he had the treatment and financial support he required in order to help get him back to work.
