Bus crash victim suffers psychological injuries

A car pulled out in front a bus causing a head on collision which left one passenger with the constant fear of becoming paralysed.

Chloe was the passenger on a bus which was involved in a head on collision.

She suffered whiplash injuries to her neck and back but the most serious injury was psychological.

Following the accident Chloe became convinced that her injuries were very serious and that she would become paralysed in the near future. No amount of persuasion from her GP could put her mind at rest.

The Road Traffic Collision team investigated Chloe's case. They sought medical evidence for both her physical and psychological injuries. The medical experts that she met with were able to reassure her that the severity of her injuries were not as bad as she believed them to be.

The experienced team were able to settle Chloe's claim quickly. This was vital for Chloe and allowed her to concentrate on regaining some normality in her life. The team secured her £45,000 in compensation.
