Lady awarded compensation after dangerous fall at work

A lady has been awarded compensation after she slipped on wet steps while at work, injuring her leg, neck and shoulders.

Morag was at work at a conference centre when she had her slipping accident.

She had been walking down stairs outside the conference centre when she slipped on a wet surface. Morag fell downwards landing heavily at the bottom.

A visit to her doctor and chiropractor confirmed that she had suffered a whiplash injury and severe bruising to her leg. The physical injuries however were only part of her suffering. Following the accident she became very depressed, angry and frustrated that she couldn't do anything for herself. She was diagnosed as suffering from Post Traumatic Stress disorder.
